Hi Everyone, Let's Talk!

Today I will be discussing the outcome of the NHL's Stanley Cup Playoffs. As some may know, this is a tough subject for me considering my loyalty to the New York Rangers; However the journey that the Vegas Golden Knights took to the top has been incredible to watch and write about.

This teams journey began on October 6th, 2017 when the Governors Board of the NHL approved a new hockey franchise in Las Vegas, Nevada. The people of Vegas were quick to fall in love as they won their very first game against the Dallas in their home opener.

In terms of their playoff history, this team has never been short of excellent. Out of their cumulative six seasons on the ice, they have made the playoffs five of them. Making it to the finals in their first year, and going on to be in 2 conference finals, it is safe to say they have had a major impact in the NHL, and have become a threat to every conference in this league.

As for this years championship, Vegas silently rose to power and reached the finals. However, they were not favored to win. Their opponent, The Florida Panthers, swept every single team they played since the first round, and their fate was looking undoubtedly better than the Knights. However, that did not deter them. We saw Vegas gather the mass amount of talent they have and destroy the Panthers 9-3 to secure them their very first Stanley Cup Win.

In only 6 years and without anyone ever really noticing, The Vegas Golden Knights figured out a way to take over the National Hockey League. Something no team has done recently. Vegas veered away from the traditional hockey market and made residents and fans all over fall in love with the spectacle that is "VEGAS".

This was a Stanley Cup Win that was Well Deserved!

(and that means a lot coming from me)
